I just wanted to let readers know that The Beginner's Guide to Eating Disorder Recovery by Nancy Kolodny is currently available for 50% off the list price of $14.95 from Gurze Books.

I've just finished reading a new book by Gráinne Smith, entitled Anorexia and Bulimia in the Family: One parent's practical guide to recovery and published by John Wiley.

Dr Grohol has been a web presence for many years. As part of his website, Psychcentral, he runs a weblog (blog) of interesting psychology-related news and resources. Well worth a look if you are interested in psychology, whether you're a professional, student or just plain curious individual.

The Structured Inventory for Anorexic and Bulimic Disorders (SIAB), is an interview-based measure for eating disorders assessment, developed by Manfred Fichter and colleagues.

To make the SIAB more easily accessible to all researchers and clinicians interested in using it, the team have now put all relevant information concerning the SIAB interview, manual, questionnaire and scoring sheets on their website.

The Eating Disorder Referral and Information Center provides information and treatment resources for all forms of eating disorders. The Center was created to provide prompt information to individuals needing assistance in finding eating disorder treatment in their area. They also offer general information to the public about the treatment and prevention of eating disorders.

They have comprehensive information about resources in the US, but less on international resources. Professionals can become members of the service to be listed on the site and receive referrals. This currently costs from $75 per year for individuals to $185 for treatment facilities.

Below is part one in a (long) list of publications I've found useful during my time working in eating disorders. Inevitably, it is not comprehensive, and it's biased towards areas I've been interested in over the years. However, I'm supplying it as it might be a useful starting point for researchers and students.
