SIAB now available online

The Structured Inventory for Anorexic and Bulimic Disorders (SIAB), is an interview-based measure for eating disorders assessment, developed by Manfred Fichter and colleagues.

To make the SIAB more easily accessible to all researchers and clinicians interested in using it, the team have now put all relevant information concerning the SIAB interview, manual, questionnaire and scoring sheets on their website.

As well as the English version of the SIAB, the team are also working on Italian, Spanish and Portugese versions. The German version is published by Hogrefe-Verlag Goettingen, Germany and is available from the publisher. Thus all SIAB versions except the German one can be obtained free of charge.

The SIAB interview and its extensive manual were designed for biological studies, treatment evaluation, longitudinal research, epidemiological studies and the assessment of the phenotype of eating disorders. It has been used and is currently used in International collaborative studies on anorexia and bulimia.
